WORKSHOP MEETING - BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
MONDAY, NOVEMBER 11, 2019 – 7:00 PM


  1. Township Manager’s Report – discuss operational issues as outlined in the monthly report
  1. November Bill Listing – review and approve the monthly bill listing and check reconciliation of the previous month
  1. 2020 Budget Meeting Schedule – announce the meeting schedule through the adoption of the 2020 budget
  1. 2020 Budget Presentation – present the 2020 preliminary budget and continue discussions prior to adoption
  1. Engineer’s Rate Schedule – consider a request by the Township Engineer’s office to adjust the 2020 hourly rate schedule for professional services
  1. Message Board Policy – review the existing policy for the use of the electronic message board located at the municipal campus
  1. Bid - Recreation Center Restroom Renovations – review the results of the bid opening to perform restroom renovations at the Township’s recreation center
  1. Yard Waste Program – consider the implementation of a year-round curbside collection program for the disposal of yard waste in order to comply with PA Department of Environmental Protection regulations
  1. Tank Car Property – authorize a letter of intent to apply for Industrial Site Reuse funds from the PA Department of Community and Economic Development
  1. Draft Ordinance – Historic Resource Overlay District – review and consider scheduling a public hearing to receive testimony regarding a proposed ordinance to create a historic resource overlay district and historic resource commission
  1. Recycling Report – review the monthly recycling activities
  1. Resolution No. 1484 – a resolution authorizing participation in the Sustainable Pennsylvania Community Certification Program
  1. Cisco Park – review a request from the Springfield Soccer Club to install an additional pole-mounted light for evening practice
  1. Facility Permit Forms and Fee Schedule – review revised permit forms and fee schedules for the use of Township facilities
  1. Mermaid Park – receive a presentation from the Township Engineer regarding a master concept plan to perform improvements at Mermaid Park in Wyndmoor
  1. Resolution No. 1483 – a resolution authorizing application to the PECO Green Region Grant Program to obtain partial funding for the completion of improvements at Mermaid Park
  1. Traffic Study – Franklin Avenue – review the results of a traffic study completed by the police department in response to a request to implement a one-way traffic pattern on Franklin Avenue
  1. Traffic Study – Haws Lane – review the results of a traffic study completed by the police department in response to a concern regarding access to Lucon Road during certain periods of the day
  1. Zoning Hearing Board Agenda – announce the agenda of any special or regular meeting of the Zoning Hearing Board
