WORKSHOP MEETING - BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
MONDAY, OCTOBER 7, 2019 – 7:00 PM


1. Township Manager’s Report – discuss operational issues as outlined in the Monthly Report

2. Bill Listing – review and approve the monthly bill listing and check reconciliation of the previous month

3. 2020 Budget Meeting Schedule – announce the tentative meeting schedule through the adoption of the 2020 budget

4. Resolution No. 1481 – a resolution distributing the annual state aid to the three township pension plans

5. Resolution No. 1482 – a resolution requesting an amendment to the Sterling Act to require up to one percent (1%) of Philadelphia wage tax paid by non-residents of Philadelphia be remitted to the municipality in which the taxpayer resides

6. Recreation Center Restroom Renovations – authorize the advertisement of bids to perform restroom renovations at the Township’s recreation center

7. Energy Benchmarking Study – review the results of an energy benchmarking study for the police/administration, library, and public works buildings

8. Community Development Department – discuss the reorganization of the Community Development Department to provide planning, zoning and building inspection functions 

9. Recycling Report – review the monthly recycling activities

10. Ready for 100 – receive a presentation from the Environmental Advisory Commission regarding the Ready for 100 initiative

11. Cisco Park – review a request from the Springfield Soccer Club to install additional pole-mounted lighting for evening activities

12. Municipal Swimming Pool Operations – review a comparative analysis of municipal swimming pool operations and financing

13. Traffic Signage Request – Ardmore Avenue and Pleasant Avenue – review the results of a traffic study completed by the Police Department in response to a request to provide “yield” signage at the subject intersection

14. Traffic Study – Rose Lane – review the results of a traffic study completed by the Police Department in response to a request to implement a one-way traffic pattern on Rose Lane

15. Traffic Study – Bells Mill Road and Park Avenue – review the results of a traffic study completed by the Police Department in response to a request to install a stop sign at the intersection

16. Township Website – consider awarding a contract for the creation of a new township website and advertisement of a community contest to obtain photos to populate it

17. Zoning Hearing Board Agenda – announce the agenda of any special or regular meeting of the Zoning Hearing Board
