Biography:
Commissioner Schaum was elected to the Board of Commissioners in 1997 and served as the Vice President of the Board from 2000-2003, and President from 2004-2005. Mr. Schaum is the 2004 recipient of the American Public Works Association Elected Official of the Year, and is the Vice President of the Montgomery County Public Works Association.
Professionally, Mr. Schaum is employed as a Customer Service Manager for Taylor Products PA, a food service equipment distributor located in Frazer, PA.
Within our community, Mr. Schaum has served as a volunteer firefighter with the Oreland Volunteer Fire Company since 1971, where he served as Assistant Chief for many years and presently serves as the Safety Officer and Secretary. Mr. Schaum is also a member of the Fire Chief's Aid Association of Montgomery County and the Oreland Town Watch.
