Sunday, October 6, 2019

Monday, OCT 7th

10:00 AM – Storytime – Terrific 2’s and 3’s! For children ages 2 and up, with a caregiver. Come in and hear a story, sing a song and have some fun!

12:15 PM – Mah Jong – Get together for the ever challenging game of tiles! Bring your own card.

1:00 – 3:00 PM – Knitters’ Group- Grab your yarn and needles or crochet hook and come on in for a session of creativity and chatting!

7:00 PM – Socrates Café’ - Join in the conversation, be it political, religious or whatever comes to mind. Share your thoughts, experiences and viewpoints while meeting new people.

Tuesday, OCT 8th

10:00 AM – Storytime – Playful Preschool – For children ages 3 and older, with a caregiver. Stories, songs and rhymes add up to a fun morning!

10:30 -2:00 PM – Mah Jong - Get together for the ever challenging game of tiles! Bring your own card.

3:00 – 5:00 PM – Teen Time – Join Miss Marie and meet your friends and make new ones! See our new games and enjoy some snacks after school! This week it’s crafts so bring your creativity with you!

Wednesday, OCT 9th

11:00 – 1:00 PM – Pinochle – Beginner to advanced, join in the fun!

12:15 PM – Mah Jong– Get together for the ever challenging game!  Card required.

4:00 – 5:00 PM – Afternoon Book Club – This month the title to be discussed is “The Devil in the White City” by Erik Larsen. Join us and share your thoughts of this title!

6:30 PM – Knit Night – Grab your needles and come in and finish that project! Knit and chat and make new friends!

Thursday, OCT 10th

10 AM - Wonderful 1’s CANCELLED FOR TODAY

12:15 PM – Mah Jong – Get together for the ever challenging game of Mah Jong! Card required

7:00 – 8:00 PM – Exploring with Ed Talk – “Sweet History: Stories about favorite American candies”. Join us for some sweet facts and maybe some real candy!

Friday, OCT 11th

10:00 – 4:00 PM – Duplo Play Day – Come in and let your little ones build a creation from our Duplo collection! For ages 2 years to 6 years

11:00 AM – 1:00 PM – Pinochle – Different day, same fun!! Join us and learn to work your card skills!

1:30 – 3:30 PM – Bridge – Come in, meet new friends and challenge your brain!

2:00 PM – Movie Matinee – This week is the film version of Edward Albee’s play to be performed in April at the Walnut Street theatre. Starring Katherine Hepburn, Lee Remick; Joseph Cotten and Paul Scofield, this is the story of a well-to-do Connecticut family is upended when the grown daughter's godparents, seized by a nameless terror, decide to come live with them.  Rated PG

Saturday, OCT 12th – Library is open from 10 – 5 pm.

Sunday, OCT 13th International Film Club – Cine Club of Pa- Join us as we watch a documentary film based on the autobiography of Mr. Mosab Hassan Yousef (son to Hamas leader Mr. Sheikh Hassan Yousef) who was recruited by Shin Bet, Israel’s spy agency to work for them.  Rated PG-13

Upcoming events: Monday, October 21st @ 7 PM- Veteran’s Day Talk- Local resident and advocate for honoring veterans, Ed McLaughlin will be here to talk about the local cemetery where over 1,000 Civil War soldiers are buried and how we can show respect for our veterans!
