Sunday, November 3, 2019

Monday, NOV 4TH

10:00 AM – Storytime – Terrific 2’s and 3’s! For children ages 2 and up, with a caregiver. Come in and hear a story, sing a song and have some fun!

10:30 AM -12:30 PM – Pinochle – moved from Fridays- Join in the fun and make new friends at the same time!

12:15 PM – Mah Jong – Get together for the ever challenging game of tiles! Bring your own card.

1:00 – 3:00 PM – Knitters’ Group- Grab your yarn and needles or crochet hook and come on in for a session of creativity and chatting!

7:00 PM – Socrates Café’ - Join in the conversation, be it political, religious or whatever comes to mind. Share your thoughts, experiences and viewpoints while meeting new people.

Tuesday, NOV 5THELECTION DAY

10:00 AM – Storytime – Playful Preschool – For children ages 3 and older, with a caregiver. Stories, songs and rhymes add up to a fun morning!

10:30 -2:00 PM – Mah Jong - Get together for the ever challenging game of tiles! Bring your own card.

3:00 – 5:00 PM – Teen Time – Join Miss Marie and meet your friends and make new ones! See our new games and enjoy some snacks after school!

 Wednesday, NOV 6TH

11:00 – 1:00 PM – Pinochle – Beginner to advanced, join in the fun!

12:15 PM – Mah Jong– Get together for the ever challenging game!  Card required.

4 – 5:00 PM – Tail Waggin’ Tutors – Sign up for a 10 minute slot and have your child read to a certified therapy dog. Helps build confidence and is fun! For children in grades K-6. REGISTRATION REQUIRED.

6:30 PM – Knit Night – Grab your needles and come in and finish that project! Knit and chat and make new friends!

7:00 PM – Fall Leaves Art Project – Adults, sign up now for a refreshing evening of art! Ginny Benner will lead us in two different projects perfect for the Fall! Limited space- Registration required!

Thursday, NOV 7th

10 AM - Wonderful 1’s – Join us for stories, songs, rhymes, and fun and learn about early literacy. Suggested for children from birth to 2 years old. No registration required.

12:15 PM – Mah Jong – Get together for the ever challenging game of Mah Jong! Card required

3:00 – 5:00 PM – Teen Creation StationThis week we’re tackling Duct Tape!! Come create duct tape crafts and learn about its strength and durability. Does it freeze? Float? For teens in grades 6 to 12.

Friday, NOV 8th

LIBRARY IS CLOSED FOR STAFF INSERVICE DAY

Sunday, NOV 10TH   

1:15 – 3:30 pm – International Film Club – This month we’ll show The Visitor” (USA, in English with French, Arabic and Romanian, 2008), written and directed by Mr. Tom McCarthy.  The screenplay focuses on a widowed economics professor (portrayed by Mr. Richard Jenkins) whose life changes when a chance encounter with an immigrant couple forces him to face issues relating to identity, immigration and cross-cultural communication in post-9/11 New York City.
