Monday, February 11th
10:00 AM – Storytime – Terrific 2’s and 3’s! For children ages 2 and up, with a caregiver. Come in and hear a story, sing a song and have some fun!
12:15 PM – Mah Jong – Get together for the ever challenging game of Mah Jong! Card required.
1:00 – 3:00 PM –Knitters’ Group – Pick up that unfinished project and join in the fun!
4:30 PM – Picture Book Art – Come in and make a fun art project in the style of book illustrator Mo Willems! Led by local artist Maura Matthews, this class is for ages 4 to 7 years old. REGISTRATION REQUIRED.
7:00 PM – Socrates’ Café – Join in the conversation, be it political, religious or whatever comes to mind. Share your thoughts, experiences and viewpoints while meeting new people.
Tuesday, February 12th
10:00 AM – Storytime – Playful Preschool – For children ages 3 and older, with a caregiver. Stories, songs and rhymes add up to a fun morning!
3:00 PM – Teen Time – Back to school, back to the Library! Come in for the fun, stay for the snacks! Meet your friends and make new ones here after school playing games of trivia and brain challenges!
7:00 PM – Pinochle – Add extra fun to your Tuesday nights! Come in and play a hand of pinochle with some friends, new or old! No registration required, adults only.
Wednesday, February 13th
10 AM – Dance, Rattle & Roll Storytime – Join us for stories and songs with a special emphasis on music and movement! Parachute play included! For children up to age 5 with a caregiver. No registration required.
11:00 – 1:00 PM – Pinochle – Beginner to advanced, join in the fun!
12:15 PM – Mah Jong – Get together for the ever challenging game of Mah Jong!
4:00 PM – Afternoon Book Club – Discussion on the book, “ An Odyssey: A Father, A Son and an Epic”.
4:00 PM – Ready, Set Kindergarten – Join us for a kindergarten readiness program! Activities will focus on letter recognition using books, and crafts! No registration required. For ages 4 to 5 years old.
6:30 PM – Knit Night – Grab your needles and come in and finish that project! Knit and chat away ‘til we close up at 9!
7:00 PM – Exploring with Ed Talk – This month reference librarian Ed Thompson will explore the topic of how some Ideas from the past made to present day, i.e. scrolls, books, myths and many more!! Join us and hear Ed link the past to the modern world!
Thursday, February 14th
10:00 AM – Storytime – Wonderful 1’s – For children from birth to 24 months and caregiver. Stories, music and fun!
12:15 PM – Mah Jong – Join in on the challenging game of Mah Jong! Card required.
Friday, February 15th
10:00 – 4:00 PM – Duplo Play Day – Come in and let your little ones build a creation from our Duplo collection! For ages 2 years to 6 years
11:00 AM – 1:00 PM – Pinochle – Different day, same fun!! Join us and learn to work your card skills!
1:30 – 3:30 PM – Bridge – Come in, meet new friends and challenge your brain!
2:00 PM – Movie Matinee – This week’s film is the Spielberg classic based on the life of our 16th President! Starring Daniel Day-Lewis and Sally Field! Rated PG-13
Saturday, February 16th
10:15 – 2:15 PM- Computerized Investing Group – Join this monthly investing group dedicated to the art and science of technical analysis. All levels of understanding are welcome! No registration required.
10:30 AM – Saturday Storytime – Join us after your breakfast for a fun storytime! For ages 2 – 5 years with parent/caregiver.
Sunday, February 17th – Library hours are 1-4 pm.
Mark your calendars for Thursday, Feb. 21st – “Screens, Teens and Tweens.” This important program will offer resources and strategies to tackle how screen time affects children of all ages and the complexity of digital media interaction. Presented by Chris DiFonzo, technologist/entrepreneur and Tracey DiFonzo, licensed clinical social worker.
