Units and Organization
The Springfield Township Police Department is organized into three major divisions and four specialty units. The entire department is commanded by the Springfield Township Chief of Police and Lieutenant.

Detective Division
The Detective Division is responsible for criminal investigations, forensics, drug investigations, intelligence, evidence management, applicant background checks, and juvenile crime investigations.

The Traffic Safety Division is responsible for traffic enforcement, speed studies, and accident investigation.
