Current Opportunities
Full Time Public Works Laborer
Springfield Township, Montgomery County, is seeking individuals for the position of Public Works Laborer. This full-time position is responsible for frequent roadway maintenance projects, parks maintenance, and assignment on Refuse or Recycle Collection Trucks. This position requires on-call availability to assist in emergency situations after normal work hours. Applicants should have a general understanding of roadway, park and general construction maintenance.
A High School diploma or equivalent and a valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License is required. A Pennsylvania Commercial Driver’s License and 3-5 years of municipal work or equivalent construction trade experience is preferred. Applications may be obtained (9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) from the Township Receptionist at 1510 Paper Mill Road, Wyndmoor, PA 19038. Applications will not be mailed out. Completed applications and resume must be submitted, in-person, to the Township Receptionist no later than 11:30 a.m., September 12, 2025.
Part Time Automation Coordinator (IT Position) in the Free Library of Springfield
The Library is seeking an IT representative responsible for maintenance of computers, both staff and public, along with peripherals, i.e. printers, barcode scanners and Wi-Fi/Ethernet connections.
Requirements for the position can be found in the job description below. General requirements include but are not limited to; working knowledge of Microsoft products, including Office 365, along with other software, understanding of various browsers, understanding of library WIFI and hubs, and Verizon/Comcast connections, understanding of servers, maintain inventory list of machines, ability to communicate with FLS staff as well as MCLINC staff, etc.

Part Time Library Assistant
The Library is seeking a part-time library assistant. The person in this position performs professional duties to ensure effective and efficient operation of the Adult Department of the Free Library of Springfield Township.
Requirements for the position can be found in the job description below. General requirements include but are not limited to; respond to reference, readers’ advisory and research requests in a timely and efficient manner, assist patrons with their knowledge of the technology offered at the library, provide front-line library service to all customers, circulation duties as needed, etc.
