Springfield Township seeks a highly organized and self-motivated individual to fill the position of Community Relations & Media Specialist. The position greets visitors, answers incoming telephone calls, maintains the Township's website & social media accounts and provides general clerical support.
Essential job functions include: assisting the general public with Township related business, creating news articles and social media posts as requested, creating and assembling New Resident packets for distribution by the Police Department, developing creative content and graphic design to be used in daily news articles, newsletters, and advertisements, and more (see job description below).

Administrative Assistant - Community Development Department
Springfield Township seeks a highly organized and self-motivated individual to fill the position of Administrative Assistant in the Office of Community Development.
This is advanced clerical, typing and recordkeeping work of routine difficulty. The employee in this position performs skilled typing tasks, but emphasis is on the difficulty and responsibility in performing and organizing the clerical work. The employee is responsible for making minor decisions and works in accordance with instructions and established routines. Excellent communication and organizational skills are required. This is a salaried position with a regular work schedule beginning at 8:00 AM and ending at 4:30 PM Monday through Friday, for a total of 37.5 hours per week. The employee is not normally required to work more than scheduled. Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and TRAISR asset management software is desired. Excellent grammar, spelling and communications skills are essential.

Library Assistant (part-time)
The Free Library of Springfield Township is accepting applications for a Part-Time Library Assistant. The person in this position performs circulation tasks: checks materials in and out; informs the public of the library’s programs; signs patrons up for library cards, classes and programs; and maintains order and efficiency in the book stacks.
Essential Job Functions:
- Provide front-line library service to all customers; maintain appropriate decorum and atmosphere in the department’s public spaces.
- Shelve, shelf read, and maintain order in the re-shelving area.
- Assists in all duties and projects related to the functions and responsibilities of the department. These niche duties are assigned according to changing departmental needs and individual staff strengths/talents.
- Attends regular continuing education seminars, attends and participates in District related committees and meetings.
- Participates in staff and department meetings.
- Other duties as required.
