Enchantment Theatre Company is focused on providing high quality performances for children, students and families across the Philadelphia region. They have a brand new performance called Mommy's Khimar, which is based on the book by local Philadelphia author Jamilah Thompkins-Bigelow.
This family-friendly show is about a young girl who spends her days playing dress-up with her mother’s beautiful headscarves, wrapping herself in the warmth and love they represent and diving into exciting and sometimes dangerous magical worlds. But her mischievous little brother has other plans, constantly spoiling her fun. When their fun loving grandmother comes to visit, will these sibling rivals finally find a way to get along? Dive into this heartwarming tale that celebrates the beauty of family, love, and the vibrant, diverse community of a young Muslim American girl’s life.
We have one copy of the book - Mommy's Khimar by Jamilah Thompkins-Bigelow - to give away! All child attendees will be entered into a drawing; one winner will be chosen at random to receive the book. Must be present to receive the prize.
