Springfield Township is now accepting applications for two important volunteer positions on local advisory boards: the Zoning Hearing Board and the Library Advisory Committee. Residents interested in serving must apply by Thursday, December 5.

The Zoning Hearing Board is an independent branch of local government that reviews and decides on all zoning and land use variance and special exception applications. The board ensures that potential developments within the community do not adversely impact the health, safety, and welfare of residents. Meetings are held on the fourth Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at the Springfield Township Administration Building, unless otherwise posted.
The Library Advisory Committee is a volunteer group that advises the Board of Commissioners on the overall philosophy and goals of the Free Library of Springfield Township. The committee also serves as a sounding board for the library needs of residents. Meetings take place on the fourth Tuesday every other month at 7:00 p.m. at the Free Library of Springfield Township.
Both positions offer residents the opportunity to contribute to key aspects of Springfield Township’s governance and community life. Interested residents can learn more and submit their applications through our website.
We look forward to hearing from you!
