Police Commendation Ceremony

At the regularly scheduled monthly meeting of the Board of Commissioners, the Board formally recognized several Springfield Township police officers for their outstanding achievements that occurred in 2025 or prior. The awards presented were as follows:

Commendation of Merit - Detective Craig

• For his role in the investigation regarding corruption of a minor and child pornography, occurring around 10/17/22 (sentencing in April 2025). 

Commendations of Merit - Detective Craig

• For his role in the investigation regarding involuntary deviate sexual intercourse occurring on 3/25/25

Commendatory Letter - Officer Boujida

• Investigation of theft by deception that occurred in a nursing home on 6/17/25

Commendatory Letter - Officer Sweeney

• Access device fraud (fraudulent check), firearm not to be carried without a license that occurred on 8/14/25

Life-saving - Officer Makowski and Officer Brown

• Life saving efforts for a cardiac arrest that occurred on 10/6/25

Highway Safety Award - Corporal Wiley

• Overall traffic, DUI, and parking enforcement
