Temporary Road Closures for Trench Restoration
On Friday, August 7th and Monday, August 10th, there will be temporary road closures during normal business hours. There will be no through traffic permitted except for residents who live within the closure areas and need access to their homes. This work is the final step in the PECO Gas replacement project. Beginning on Tuesday, August 4th, Kehoe Construction will install temporary "No Parking" signs throughout the affected areas.
Springfield Township has awarded a contract to Glasgow Inc. to perform a full-width mill and overlay of these roadways. The work is expected to take place in late August or early September.
The roads that are impacted on August 7th and August 10th are:
- Chesney Lane (Longfield Rd to Bethlehem Pike)
- Downs Road (Chesney Ln to Heatherwood Rd)
- Glendalough Road (Chesney Ln to Terminal Ave)
- Heatherwood Road (Glendalough Rd to Longfield Rd)
