There will be ongoing traffic delays starting Monday, June 21 as Aqua works to replace a water main on N. Fairway, S. Fairway, and Tee Roads in the Township.
Water Main Construction Scheduled to Begin June 21st
Aqua will begin the replacement of 3,021-feet of water main on N. Fairway, S. Fairway, and Tee Roads beginning June 21, 2021.
The work is expected to last through September. Construction will generally take place on weekdays between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. However, crews might need to work on Saturdays in some cases. Access will be provided for emergency, mail and trash service. Residents will have access to their properties, but at times will need to enter from different directions due to changing work zones.
Following installation, the new main will be flushed, chlorinated and tested for water quality before being placed into service. During the chlorination/testing phase, activity on the job site will be limited. Once the water quality testing has been completed, Aqua will transfer each water service and fire hydrant to the new main. When all final connections are made to mains on the side streets, the old main will be abandoned. It is important to note the trench will be covered with temporary blacktop at the end of each workday.
