Springfield Township is offering FREE opportunities for residents to get involved with Fire Prevention Month! The goal this month is to raise awareness around fire safety and help protect residents' homes and families.
Fire Safety Workshop
Learn the ins and outs of home fire safety with this FREE workshop, hosted by the Township's Fire Marshal, Pat DePaul. Pat will go over everything from smoke detectors to extension cords, lithium batteries and beyond. The workshop takes place on Tuesday, October 20th at 7PM in the large meeting room of the Free Library (8900 Hawthorne Ln).
Free Smoke Alarms
October 5th started the Township's second annual smoke alarm giveaway program. The Township is providing a 10 year, worry free smoke alarm to residents at no cost. This is thanks to continued support from Denney Electric in Ambler, along with Local Vitality Grant funding and local business partnerships. Special recognition goes to A to Z Party Rental, LaSalle College High School, PECO, TD Bank, Keystone Municipal Services, and United Inspection Agency for their generosity!
Come over to the Township Administration Building (1510 Paper Mill Rd) and pick up your free smoke alarm while supplies last. Please note that installation is not provided by the Township.
